Data Stored on Your Device

knock(1) stores your saved knock sequences (host, ports, delay, and timeout settings) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.

Network Connections

When you run a knock sequence, knock(1) sends TCP connection attempts or UDP packets directly to the host and ports you specify. These are raw network connections made from your device to your servers. No data is sent to any third-party service, and no connection details are logged or transmitted anywhere other than the target you configure.

No Analytics or Tracking

knock(1) does not include any analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking code. No usage data is collected.

No Account Required

knock(1) does not require an account, login, or any personal information to use.

Data Deletion

To delete all data stored by knock(1), delete the app from your device. This permanently removes all saved configurations.

Your Rights

knock(1) only stores data on your device and makes no network requests beyond the knock sequences you initiate, so you have full control over your data at all times.
